An earthquake with preliminary 5.3-magnitude has shaken the southern Aegean Sea islands. The epicenter was located in the sea 48 km southwest of the island of Santorini and above the island of Crete. No injuries or damages have been reported.
The Athens Geodynamic Institute reported that the undersea earthquake occurred Thursday, some 244 kilometers (150 miles) southeast of Athens.
