Dear Dr. Veremis,

My name is Nina Gatzoulis and I am the President of the Pan-Macedonian Association USA. Yes, indeed we met back in 2001 and I had brought with me the four books of the Joint History Project which I showed you and asked you if you know about them. In the beginning you didn't remember the product of the CDRSEE, but then all of a sudden you said "I yes, now I remember about these books...Costas Caras a true patriot, isn't he?" you asked, and I almost replied with a rude remark about Mr. Carras, but I checked myself.

If you still don't remember about the Center of Democracy and Reconciliation of South East Europe (according to your statement), let me just remind you of a few things, accompanied with some photos: As you very well know Horizons is the CDRSEE's newsletter (issue nr. 8, Summer 2003): http://www.cdsee.org/pdf/b_horiz8.pdf

Please go to pages 10 and 24, where you will find two photos (one in each respective pages) of yourself with Svetlana Broz and Elsa Ballauri, while underneath the photo on page 24 we can read the following: Elsa Ballauri and Thanos Veremis led the Working Group on Education and Youth!

Costa Carras (CDRSEE Board Member responsible for the JHP) and Christina Koulouri (Academic Supervisor and Editor) headed up a panel of exceptional diversity and intellect, all of whom spoke eloquently about the importance of the History Workbooks to Greece and the region.
The panel comprised Mr Nikos Georgiadis, MP (Nea Dimokratia), Dr Marilena Koppa, Assistant Professor, Panteion University of Athens and member of the National Council of Pasok, Professor Antonis Liakos, University of Athens and Professor Thanos Veremis, University of Athens.
