In 1907 George Horton visited 47 US cities and gave a lecture in support of the Greeks. A team of 22 researchers worked for 2.5 years to collect media reports, CVs of importand Greeks, their photos and other importand material to make this book a source of valuable reference.
2) The Recollections Grave and Gay - The Story of A Mediterranean Consul by George Horton Published by HEC
The book starts in 1893 up to 1924 and describes his 30 years diplomatic representation of United States in Athens, Smyrna, Thessaloniki, Smyrna, and Budapest. Read about Horton's love towards Hellenism starting with his first view, from the arriving steamer, of Parthenon.
